Got Milk? Herbal Tonic Recipe

parts should be measured by volume, not weight

(You decide how much you make, by deciding what size each “part” is, for example, if you use 1/2 cup as 1 part, then this recipe will make about 4 cups total)

2 parts Red Raspberry leaf

2 parts Nettle leaf

2 parts Fennel seed, whole

1 part Dandelion leaf

1 part Fenugreek seed, whole

1/2 part Dill

1/2 part Blessed Thistle

Place all the herbs in a large bowl and mix well.  Store in a glass jar in a cool, dark place.  I give my lactating does about 1-2 Tbsp daily mixed into their grain.

This herbal blend helps to increase milk supply, as well as the nutritional value of the milk, without changing the flavor of the milk.  The red raspberry leaf also helps with healing after delivery.  Not recommended for use during pregnancy.
