‘Twas the Night Before Christmas

“While the celebration of Christ's birth draws near,

we are busy with the bustle and cheer,

with family and friends,

and the wrapping never ends,

but let us never forget

 the joyous event

of our dear Saviors birth on this Christmas Day.”

It’s the most wonderful time of the year....  I love trying to figure out just what to give everyone on my list.  Putting up the Christmas tree and all the decorations makes the house such a cheerful and magical place. Making homemade Christmas presents, and wrapping them while listening to joyful Christmas music makes me feel good right down to my toes.  Then I look outside and see the snow & ice sparkling on the dark green pine trees.  Bustling and cheerful inside, peaceful and calm outside.  Ahhhhhhh.

But even with all the beauty and cheer around us, it can also be the most stressful time of the year.   It’s so easy to get caught up in the stress that you forget what it’s truly about.  The greatest Gift of all.  The Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the world.

So, in the true spirit of Christmas, here is a Christmas poem, put together by Santa Claus himself.
